| Description | The existing shops were removed to allow the area to be opened out for the installation of a central search area. This revealed a number of different and challenging substrates and levels, including terrazo tile, vinyl tile, concrete, screed and tile adhesive residues. Some of the existing flooring was in a very poor state. All loose and weak areas of floor were dug out or mechanically removed. Large areas of weak screed were replaced. The floor was then primed with Larsen Acrylic Primer and levelled as required with Larsen Professional SLC1550 Universal and Larsen Professional SLC1500 Commercial - both are fast drying and hardening, polymer modified self-levelling compounds. The levelled floor was tiled with 300x300mm fully vitrified porcelain tiles using Larsen Professional Flexible Fast Set and grouted with Larsen Flexible Floor Tile Grout. The total area tiled was approximately 1140m2. |
